Learn More About Latisse®

Since Latisse® is a prescription treatment that can only be obtained by a doctor, all patients must undergo a thorough exam and consultation. During this time, your doctor will assess your eyelash condition and determine if Latisse® is right for you.

Once prescribed, it’s important to follow all instructions provided by your doctor. Latisse® should only be applied to the upper eyelid, as it is not meant to be applied to the lower eyelid. With daily applications for at least one month, after four months, use every other day so you can maintain your results.

The ideal candidates for Latisse®:

  • Have thin or short eyelashes.
  • Desire fuller, thicker eyelashes.
  • Desire a long-term solution with continued use.
  • Have eyelash loss due to alopecia areata.

Latisse® is a prescription lash serum that patients apply daily at home. While the benefits of Latisse may begin to appear after 4-6 weeks, the full Latisse® treatment typically takes 16 weeks to complete.

With the daily application of Latisse®, patients can expect initial results within 4-6 weeks. Your eyelashes will become fuller, thicker, and darker.

There is no downtime with Latisse®. However, common symptoms may include itchy or red eyes, and it’s possible that minor darkening will appear along the application area of the upper eyelid.

The treatment may also cause darkening of the colored portion of the eyes. The darkening of the upper eyelid and the colored portion of the eyes is mild but may be irreversible.
