The SkinCeuticals MicroPeel is the staple chemical peel at Dr. Stile’s Skin Clinic. This MicroPeel treatment is comprised of a three-step clinical process that combines dermaplaning, chemical peeling, and cryogenic therapy to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, laxity, dullness, and skin imperfections. Note that like every other procedure at our practice, one treatment will not give you dramatic results, and a biyearly series of 4-6 procedures per year are recommended for optimal upkeep and maintenance. Unfortunately there is rarely a “one and done” solution to any aesthetic procedure. Still, in our experience, The SkinCeuticals MicroPeel chemical peel has been one of the best solutions we’ve considered.
Dermaplaning – Dermaplaning is a manual exfoliation technique that works to safely and efficiently remove any and all surface debris on the skin with a dermaplaning blade, priming the skin for the chemical peel solution that will come. This process cleans the skin thoroughly to insure there are no free agents on your skin that may cause issues with your peel.
Chemical Peels – After the dermaplaning treatment, the procedure calls for using an optimized solution formula for resurfacing the skin by removing the outer epidermis and stimulating collagen production production to improve hyperpigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles, texture, and skin impurities.
Cryogenic Therapy – The final step involves an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial freezing procedure that increases the rate of cell turnover and leaves the skin feeling cool and tight.
The benefits of a chemical peel are many, and can be surmised into just a couple of bullet points:
If you need a little bit more “oomph” when it comes to a chemical peel solution, then perhaps the SkinCeuticals MicroPeel Plus may be the right solution for you. This chemical peel is a one-step chemical exfoliation treatment which reduces acne and helps correct environmental skin damage. This solution will help refine pores and help reduce the appearance of acne. The solution will also aid in the improvement of rough texture, blotchiness, and uneven skin tone. Following a week from the treatment date, you may experience some slight peeling as the skin undergoes its natural renewal process. Note that for optimal results, a biyearly series of 4-6 procedures are recommended for optimal maintenance.
The SkinCeuticals MicroPeel is an excellent chemical peel solution for many people.
