Before and After Mommy Makeover. 32-year-old elementary school teacher presented to my office for evaluation. She wanted to improve the appearance of her abdomen and breasts after pregnancy. She was unhappy with the loose skin on her abdomen & stretch marks. She described her breasts as having lost volume following her pregnancy. This patient wore a B cup but wanted to be a full C to improve the proportions of her body. The "after" pictures below are from three months following standard abdominoplasty with muscle tightening (anterior rectus fascia plication), lipo sculpture of the flanks, and breast augmentation. She had an uneventful recovery and returned to all her normal lifestyle activities including rigorous exercise 4 weeks following surgery. This patient's procedures included breast augmentation using a dual plane technique breast enlargement (partial submuscular) with 330cc Mentor smooth round Moderate Profile silicone gel implants. Lipo suction of the flanks, a standard abdominoplasty with anterior rectus fascia plication for diastasis (muscle separation of the midline) repair was also performed. All procedures were performed in our fully licensed and accredited ambulatory surgery center under general anesthesia.
