Learn More About Microdermabrasion

The patient’s face will be thoroughly cleaned prior to the procedure. A stream of fine particles will be sprayed onto the patient’s face to essentially polish the skin through a special handpiece. In the process, dead skin cells and other debris will be suctioned away by the Microderm system.

Microdermabrasion also stimulates the skin’s production of collagen and elastin, which play a role in skin firmness. Patients seeking even more collagen production improvements may benefit from microneedling.

The ideal candidates for microdermabrasion:

  • Have any skin type and color.
  • Have skin concerns, such as fine lines and wrinkles, aged skin, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, minor scars, and uneven skin tone and texture.
  • Desire better-looking, more radiant skin.
  • Do not want an invasive surgical procedure.
  • Have realistic outcomes.
