How is a Breast Lift Performed?

Breast Lift Las Vegas

Many women feel comfortable with their breasts until age or pregnancy causes them to sag. Other women have naturally drooping breasts they want to correct. breast lift removes excess skin to restore your breasts to a perky, youthful position.

WHAT IS A BREAST LIFT?

A breast lift is also called a mastopexy. This procedure corrects sagging or drooping breasts without changing your overall breast size. You can achieve a more attractive shape and breast position. The surgery will also resize the areolas and make sure they point forward instead of downward. If your breasts look smaller due to sagging, a lift may give you the desired results without implants.

HOW IS A BREAST LIFT PERFORMED?

Dr. Stile will use one of several incision types to perform your breast lift. The incision usually circles the areola and runs down and under the breast. This procedure is performed under general anesthesia and typically takes a few hours. After he is certain your breasts look symmetrical and suit your body shape, he will close the incisions. You can return home after a short recovery, but you will need someone to drive you.

BREAST LIFT VS. BREAST AUGMENTATION

If you want to correct sagging or drooping breasts without changing their volume, a breast lift can help you achieve this goal. If you want larger breasts or more breast volume, you may want a breast augmentation. This procedure uses implants to change your breast size and shape. If you have lost breast volume and developed sagging, Dr. Stile may recommend a breast lift with breast augmentation.

HOW MUCH DOES A BREAST LIFT COST?

The price of a breast lift varies widely between surgeons. Your location will also determine the price range. On average, a breast lift costs about $4800. This will not include other fees and expenses, including anesthesia and post-surgical supplies. A consultation allows a more accurate discussion of cost estimates.

WHAT IS RECOVERY LIKE FROM A BREAST LIFT?

You will notice some bruising, swelling, and soreness after the procedure. These will steadily improve over a few weeks. Dr. Stile will recommend sleeping on your back or side to avoid disturbing your breasts while they heal. Most people need to take five to seven days off work to recover.

AM I A CANDIDATE FOR A BREAST LIFT?

If you have sagging or drooping breasts, a breast lift can restore them to a more youthful position. Ideal candidates have no significant health problems, do not smoke, and have reasonable expectations. If you also want to add breast volume, you may also be a candidate for augmentation.
