Facelift Las Vegas

Signs of aging, like wrinkles and skin laxity, can sneak up on you. If you look in the mirror and wonder when your lines and sagging became so noticeable, you might be at the right age for a facelift. This procedure is a very individual decision, and only you can decide when the time is right.

WHAT IS A FACELIFT OR RHYTIDECTOMY?

A facelift or rhytidectomy addresses lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging, especially in the middle and lower face. This popular procedure can restore a youthful, refreshed appearance with more defined features. A facelift can be performed alone or combined with other procedures, including a neck, brow, or eyelid lift.

WHAT IS THE BEST AGE TO GET A FACELIFT?

There is no “right” age to get a facelift. Each person ages differently, and only you can decide when your signs of aging have become bothersome. Most people who have a rhytidectomy are in their 40s to 60s. Older individuals can and do have facelifts as long as they are healthy enough for surgery. Individuals younger than their 40s are often better candidates for non-invasive or minimally invasive treatments, but only a consultation can determine your best options.

No one at any age should make decisions about a facelift based on the idea that you should have one when you reach a certain age. A facelift should be a personal decision and not based on others’ opinions. The best age to get a facelift is when you feel it would improve your self-esteem and confidence.

HOW IS A FACELIFT PERFORMED?

Dr. Stile is an expert in achieving refreshed, natural-looking facelift results. A facelift is performed under general anesthesia. Incisions are made in front of, behind the ears and within the hairline, making them unnoticeable once healed. Dr. Stile lifts and repositions the skin, underlying muscles, and connective tissues to help you look naturally rejuvenated and energized. Dr. Stile may take four to six hours to perfect your results, depending on the details of your procedure.

WHAT IS RECOVERY LIKE AFTER A FACELIFT?

You can expect some swelling and discomfort after your procedure. Dr. Stile and his team will provide detailed instructions and medications. Most people start to feel significantly better after the first few days and look presentable after about a week. People with low-activity jobs can usually return after about two weeks, and strenuous activities can resume after four weeks.

HOW SOON WILL I SEE MY FACELIFT RESULTS?

You will have bandages on your face immediately after the procedure. Dr. Stile will remove these and your sutures during follow-up appointments. You will see differences immediately, but you will still have swelling. This swelling will fade over the next few weeks, making your results more visible. Results will continue to evolve for up to a year after your procedure.
