Because your nose plays such a central role in defining your face, any asymmetry or imbalance can seem uncomfortably obvious. Rhinoplasty, sometimes known as a “nose job” or nose surgery, can correct a range of concerns to shape a nose that balances your facial features and gives you a more sculpted appearance.
What is Rhinoplasty or a “Nose Job?”
If your nose looks too large, too wide, or has an unusual shape, you may feel like it is the first thing people notice. A nose job or rhinoplasty corrects the shape, symmetry, and appearance of your nose, improving your facial balance and boosting your confidence. This procedure can also be performed to correct functional issues such as a deviated septum that makes it difficult to breathe properly.

How Much is a Nose Job?
Each rhinoplasty is a unique procedure customized to your needs. As a result, providing an accurate estimate is difficult without the opportunity to examine your nose and discuss your goals. Factors that affect the cost of a nose job include:
- Your location
- Your surgeon’s skill and experience
- The details of your procedure
- Other fees and expenses
At Stile Aesthetics, the cost of rhinoplasty starts at $12,500. Choosing an experienced surgeon like Dr. Stile can help ensure great results and avoid the need for revision rhinoplasty, which is performed to correct the results of a previous procedure. While cost is always a factor, it should not be the primary one you use to decide on a surgeon for your rhinoplasty.
How Does Rhinoplasty Work?
Rhinoplasty is performed as an open or closed procedure. During a closed rhinoplasty, Dr. Stile uses small incisions inside the nose to make minor adjustments. An open rhinoplasty uses a small incision as the base of the nose between the nostrils. This incision allows Dr. Stile to access the deep structures of the nose and perform major corrections. While this incision does leave a small scar, it will be nearly impossible to notice once healed.
What Problems Can Rhinoplasty Treat?
What bothers you most when you look at your nose? Whatever it is, rhinoplasty can usually correct it. Common reasons people have a nose job include:
- Asymmetry
- Wide nasal bridge
- Large or flared nostrils
- Crookedness
- A nose that looks too large for your face
- A “hump” or bump on the nose
- An overly arched bridge
Discuss any other concerns you have during your consultation. In some cases, the best way to address a nose that looks too large is to balance it with chin augmentation. A more defined chin makes your nose more proportionate and gives your facial features a more harmonious appearance.
