While you have many options to brighten and improve your skin, few are as versatile or customizable as a chemical peel. These treatments can address your skin concerns on the face, hands, and body. Your aesthetician at Stile Aesthetics will choose the best chemical peel for your needs and lifestyle.
WHAT IS A CHEMICAL PEEL?
Chemical or facial peels are exfoliating treatments applied to the skin and left on for a specific time. They usually contain ingredients such as glycolic, salicylic, trichloroacetic, and carbolic (phenol) acids. These acids remove layers of dull or damaged cells to rejuvenate your skin. Chemical peels can also contain other ingredients to target specific concerns such as pigmentation issues or signs of aging.
HOW MANY CHEMICAL PEELS ARE NEEDED TO SEE RESULTS?
The number of chemical peels you will need depends on the type of chemical peel you receive. Chemical peels are usually categorized as light, medium, and deep.
LIGHT PEEL
Light peels are refreshing, skin-brightening peels with no downtime. They can be performed as often as every few weeks. Most people will need a series of these treatments to achieve their desired results, and many use them as a regular part of their skincare routine to control issues such as acne and keep their skin vibrant.
MEDIUM PEEL
A medium peel is more intensive and works more deeply into the skin. As a result, it removes more layers of damaged skin for more dramatic results. Depending on the peel, you can have a medium peel every three to six months. Most people will need three or more treatments to see their desired results.
DEEP PEEL
A deep or phenol peel is a very intensive peel performed under anesthesia. It removes deep layers of damage, requires a recovery period, and has powerful, long-lasting results. Most people only have one deep peel, and results can last a lifetime.

I’m a mother of 2 and I recently had a breast augmentation done by Dr. Stiles. I had a lift with an implant. I explained to Dr. Stiles that I wanted full and perky breast, but I didn’t want them to be too large . He achieved the perfect look for me! My entire experience has been wonderful thus far. His assistant Cynthia is also amazing. She was available to address my concerns day or night. If you are looking for a cosmetic surgeon in Vegas. I highly recommend Dr. Stiles and his entire staff.
Chemical peels can address many different skin concerns. Light and medium peels treat many of the same issues, although a light peel will require more sessions and more frequent maintenance.
Fine lines and wrinkles
Textural issues
Acne and acne scars
Hyperpigmentation
Dullness
Sun damage
A deep peel can address wrinkles, scars, significant textural problems, and even precancerous lesions. Only a consultation can determine which peel best suits your needs and lifestyle.
IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME AFTER A CHEMICAL PEEL?
Light chemical peels require little to no downtime. Your skin may look flushed for an hour or two, but you can return to your usual activities. A medium peel may cause a few days of redness, sensitivity, and minor peeling or flaking. A deep peel will require about two weeks of recovery, and redness can last longer.
