Breast augmentation and breast lift are two of the most popular breast procedures women undergo. Despite the fact that they have entirely different goals, many patients believe breast augmentation and breast lift are essentially the same procedures. So how does a breast reduction differ from a breast lift? Let’s take a closer look at the answer to this very common question.
A breast lift corrects drooping or sagging breasts that often arise due to the natural process of aging, extreme weight fluctuations, and pregnancy. If your goal is a perkier, lifted appearance, a breast lift may be the way to go. This procedure may also raise the nipple position and make the areola (the darker skin around the nipple) smaller. Keep in mind, however, that a breast lift will not change the size of your breasts.
A BREAST AUGMENTATION CAN BE COMBINED WITH A BREAST LIFT
Depending on your unique aesthetic goals, Dr. Stile may suggest that you combine breast augmentation with a breast lift. This way, you can enhance the size and shape of your breasts and restore a perkiness to them. If you’re concerned by smaller breasts and sagginess and droopiness, a combination of both of these procedures is certainly worth considering.
RECOVERING FROM BREAST SURGERY
Following a breast augmentation or breast lift, Dr. Stile will ask that you stay away from strenuous activity for at least 48 hours. You may face soreness and swelling but these symptoms will fade away within 4 to 6 weeks. Dr. Stile will ask that youvisit our office for follow-up appointments so he can make sure you’re on the right path to healing.

I’m a mother of 2 and I recently had a breast augmentation done by Dr. Stiles. I had a lift with an implant. I explained to Dr. Stiles that I wanted full and perky breast, but I didn’t want them to be too large . He achieved the perfect look for me! My entire experience has been wonderful thus far. His assistant Cynthia is also amazing. She was available to address my concerns day or night. If you are looking for a cosmetic surgeon in Vegas. I highly recommend Dr. Stiles and his entire staff.
If you are at or near your goal weight yet but can’t get rid of loose or sagging belly skin despite regular exercise and diet, a tummy tuck can be a great option. On the other hand, if your goal is weight loss, this is not the procedure for you.
A tummy tuck is solely performed to tighten loose skin and resolve muscle damage in the abdomen area after pregnancy or drastic weight loss. If you plan on becoming pregnant or losing a substantial amount of weight, you should hold off on this procedure.
