Las Vegas Liposuction

Aging, childbirth, and other factors can leave you with stubborn fat bulges. If you’re frustrated with fat pockets on your abdomen, thighs, buttocks, upper arms, or other parts of your body, liposuction may be a great option. Liposuction can remove unwanted fat and leave you with a slimmer, more athletic appearance. If you’re interested in liposuction, you may be wondering whether its results are permanent. Let’s dive deeper into the answer to this very common question.

HOW LIPOSUCTION WORKS

While liposuction procedures vary from patient to patient, tumescent liposuction is one of the most common liposuction techniques. It involves general anesthesia or IV sedation and is considered an outpatient procedure. During tumescent liposuction, Dr. Stile will insert a small cannula into targeted areas via tiny incisions. Dr. Stile may also perform ultrasound-assisted lipo, laser lipo, or VASER techniques.

Since liposuction is a minimally invasive surgery, it does come with some risks and complications. These include swelling, infection, blood clots, and scarring. When the procedure is performed by a highly trained and experienced surgeon like Dr. Stile, these risks and complications are rare.

BENEFITS OF LIPOSUCTION

With liposuction, you can reduce or completely eliminate stubborn fat in various areas of your body. Although it is not a weight loss procedure, it can give you greater definition and create a healthy, youthful appearance.

As long as you adhere to a healthy diet and exercise routine, you can enjoy permanent results. Dr. Stile has found that liposuction motivates many of his patients to prioritize their health and wellness.

GOOD CANDIDATES FOR LIPOSUCTION

If you are at or near your goal weight, you can benefit from liposuction. You should lead a healthy lifestyle and want to continue it after the procedure. It’s also important that you have firm skin and realistic expectations of the results.

Dr. Stile does not recommend liposuction if you’re overweight as liposuction is a body contouring procedure, not a weight loss surgery. Also, you should avoid this surgery if your goal is to remove cellulite. Dr. Stile can determine whether you’re a good candidate during a consultation.
