Mommy Makeover Las Vegas & Spring Valley

No matter how old your children are and how much you love them, you may not appreciate the effects that pregnancy has had on your figure. Drastic changes in breast volume, an expanding abdomen, and normal weight gain can change your body in ways that are difficult to undo. A mommy makeover combines several procedures to restore your pre-pregnancy sculpted figure.

What is a Mommy Makeover?

Each mommy makeover is a unique procedure customized to your goals. It includes several procedures that target different areas of concern, especially the breasts and abdomen. It addresses breast sagging and volume loss, stretched abdominal skin, and accumulated fat to restore your pre-baby contours. Dr. Stile works with you to develop a surgical plan that addresses all your concerns.

Am I a Good Candidate for a Mommy Makeover?

Dr. Stile will meet with you during your consultation to determine whether this procedure is recommended for you. The most important factor is that you must be in good health. Good candidates should also have realistic expectations.

Women should wait up to a year after their last pregnancy to have a mommy makeover, allowing the changes to their bodies to stabilize. A mommy makeover is intended for women who are finished having children. Pregnancy after your mommy makeover can undo many of your results, and you may require a revision.

You will usually see and maintain your best mommy makeover results if you have achieved as much body contouring and weight loss as you can do alone and continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle after the procedure. Dr. Stile will discuss these and all other factors that affect the choice of procedures for you.

What is Included in a Mommy Makeover?

Because pregnancy can affect each body in different ways, a mommy makeover can include many procedures. While Dr. Stile typically performs the entire mommy makeover in one surgical session, very extensive procedures may take place in two or more stages. Mommy makeover options include:

You can also choose from a range of non-surgical skin treatments, including laser skin rejuvenation, dermal fillers, and Botox®. These treatments will be performed by one of our specialist aestheticians at a separate appointment.

What is Recovery Like After a Mommy Makeover?

You will experience some swelling and soreness after your procedure, but you will receive medication to keep you comfortable. Most people are up and moving around almost immediately, and you will be able to resume many light activities within a week. People with low-activity jobs may return within about two weeks, while those with more strenuous jobs may need more time to heal. You can usually start adding exercise back into your routine after four to six weeks.
