Am I a Candidate for a Rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty Las Vegas

A nose job is an effective and long-lasting procedure that can enhance facial symmetry, reduce the size of your nose, alter the nose tip, and improve a deviated septum. At Stile Aesthetics, rhinoplasty is one of our most popular procedures.

WHAT IS RHINOPLASTY?

Rhinoplasty, commonly referred to as a nose job, is a cosmetic procedure that alters the nose’s appearance to meet your aesthetic goals or improve its function. We offer two types of rhinoplasty, open and closed.

Open rhinoplasty, also known as external rhinoplasty, uses incisions hidden in the underside of the nose. Dr. Stile often recommends this method for patients who require a more intricate procedure to achieve their desired results. With closed rhinoplasty or endonasal rhinoplasty, Dr. Stile creates incisions in the inside of the nostrils. He utilizes this method for less complex procedures. Both of these methods are effective and can produce natural-looking results.

AM I A CANDIDATE FOR RHINOPLASTY?

Most patients who desire enhanced facial symmetry and would like to alter the appearance of their nose or wish to improve breathing issues make good candidates for rhinoplasty. Ideal candidates for rhinoplasty are patients who are in good health, are non-smokers, and have realistic expectations of the results they can achieve.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF RHINOPLASTY?

Rhinoplasty is a popular procedure amongst our patients because of its many benefits. In addition to being an excellent procedure for patients to achieve their cosmetic goals, it can also correct a deviated septum and other structural issues to improve breathing problems. Some of the benefits of rhinoplasty include:

  • Enhance facial balance
  • Alter the size of the nose
  • Correct a deviated septum
  • Correct nostrils that are too large, small, or turned upward
  • Improve humps or dips in the nose bridge
  • Lift a droopy nose tip or turn down an upturned tip
  • Straighten the nose bridge

HOW LONG DOES RHINOPLASTY LAST?

A rhinoplasty is a long-term procedure to help you achieve your goals. The results of rhinoplasty are permanent; however, you may experience changes in the appearance of your nose as part of the natural aging process. You may have revision rhinoplasty if you are not satisfied with your results or if you require further treatment to alleviate breathing issues.

WHAT IS RECOVERY FROM RHINOPLASTY LIKE?

After rhinoplasty, you will need to take some time to rest and recover. You will likely experience some swelling, bruising, and the feeling of a clogged or stuffy nose, which is normal and will subside. You can place an ice pack on your nose to help reduce these symptoms.

During recovery, it is best if you sleep on your back with your head elevated to reduce swelling. You may find it helpful to eat soft foods during the initial stages of recovery and avoid salty and spicy foods, which can promote swelling. You should avoid wearing glasses as well as applying pressure to the nose or strenuous activity. If you have any questions regarding your recovery, you can contact our experienced team at Stile Aesthetics.
